

The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Mayor Girodat
in the Pekin Community Center.
Members Present: Marvin Massey, Gary Beier, Dean
Ensrud, Duane Avdem, and Auditor Jane Hanson.
The minutes of the May 5, 2010 meeting were reviewed.
Motion to approve the minutes was made by Avdem, seconded
by Beier and the motion carried.
Motion to approve the financial report by Ensrud, seconded
by Beier and the motion carried.
Old Business: The Nelson County Sheriff's Office sent out a
list of calls for services for the month of April and it is posted
in the Pekin Community Center.
The deed was never filed on Lots Six (6) and Seven (7)
of Block Three (3), first addition to Pekin so the city
still owns the property. A motion was made by Beier and
seconded by Massey to sell to the next highest bidder,
which was Duane Avdem. All were in favor and the motion
carried.
Les Sigette and Mike Ritterman were both in and looked
at the well house and are going to see what kind of material
is best for the ceiling. They also talked about Polly Pigging
the water lines.
New Business: The City is going to file an insurance claim
for the Community Center's roof that lost a lot of roof shingles
do to wind.

Motion to pay bills by Massey, seconded by Beier,
and the motion carried.
Next City Council Meeting will be July 7, 2010 at 7:00 PM
at the Pekin Community Center.
