The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm by Mayor Girodat
in the Pekin Community Center.

Members Present: Duane Avdem,  Dean Ensrud,
Marvin Massey and Auditor Jane Hanson.  Absent: Gary Beier

Minutes from the December 7, 2011 meeting were approved
with a motion by Ensrud, seconded by Massey and the motion
passed. Avdem motioned to approve the general ledger,
seconded by Ensrud and the motion passed.

OLD BUSINESS: The new city ordinance has been revised.  
A motion was made by Massey and seconded by Avdem
to accept the second and final passage and adoption.  
The ordinance is posted in the Post Office, Peek-In-Pub,
and the City Office in the Community Center.

The Nelson County Sheriff's Office sent out a
list of calls for services for the month of December and it
is posted in the Pekin Community Center.

The city lawn mower will be put in the shop in the spring for
a tune-up.

Dean will be attending the 26th Annual Water Expo on
February 14-16, 2012.

Everyone was notified in last months water billing that
garbage rates would be increasing on the January billing.

Reminder:  After the streets have been plowed, do not
blow the snow back into the streets.  Property owners will
be fined $100 for each occurrence.

January bills were presented for payment:

Nodak Electric - $46.00
Hawkins - $140.00
ND Dept of Health - $16.00
ND One Call - $1.30
Sheriff's Office - $661.50

Motion to pay bills by Massey,  seconded by Avdem,
and the motion carried.

Next City Council Meeting will be February 1,  2012 at 7:00 PM
